The energy gap between the required computational performance and available battery capacity is considered as a drawback. In order to cancel out this problem, the new generation of the devices should be more energy efficient. Approximate arithmetic has been de-facto technique in computing systems of accuracy-configurable applications by trading accuracy for speed and energy efficiency. Our main objective is improving energy-efficiency of OFDM system in SDR architecture through reconfiguring approximate arithmetic units of FFT module. The FFT module also can be reconfigured according to the number of points.
